Having visited Scotland 3 separate times & tasting a wide variety of single malts over subsequent years, Springbank 10 year is my favorite as well, though, as you noted, it has doubled in price & has become scarce even in NYC vicinity. Highland Park 12 & Clynelish 14 are my other two regular malts.
