I'm surprised I'd never heard of it but sounds cool and it has Anna Torv so definitely watching this one :-)

I read the books (years ago) and by the second episode of the second season, it was obvious that Lauren Hissrich had no intention of doing Andrzej Sapkowski’s work justice. Too bad. It had a chance to be as big as the early GOT seasons.

The whole thing just makes me angry. Just like that True Detective: Night Country mess.

The only thing that *kind of* makes sense in a “this is probably what would happen but it’s still dumb to watch” way? The synths lacking a shutdown safe word á la Dolores. When you have tech bros who are high on their own supply, don’t expect their products to function (See Elon Musk).

Totally agree. Like Romulus, this series insists on using young actors. Part of appeal of first two films was the grizzled space veterans. Where are they?! Also, why do the synths act like they’re 6? Weren’t they originally like 12? Most 12 yo kids I know wouldn’t be caught dead acting so goofy.
