considering this game got dedede's writing better than some of the official HAL developed games i would rather chalk this up to existing early in the series existence more than anything. meta knight was like 2 years old at that point and had no other major appearances so he's a bit off as a result

i dont mind the writing tbh its a bit weird but i think people exaggerate just how much of a jerk kirby is in this one. that being said, its definitely horrible first impression for puyo puyo gameplay lol
