I don't know, this sounds like the basis of a reasonable compromise to me. "If you continue to oppose us, we will change the gender of every last child in the United States of America. However, if you surrender now we will be magnanimous and only change the genders of those kids who want it."

Thanks! I slept for about 11 hours on Friday night and 9 on Saturday, and after that I felt a bit more human (though it didn't help with standpoints/deference).

I really need to read @catsaintcroix.bsky.social's new paper ASAP - I meant to read it for this week, but took a bit ill and so didn't have time. But it's on the list. If I had any writing/research time, I'd be tempted to try to figure out what I want to say about these issues - really interesting.
