Well for one it's an investment bubble so it's inevitably going to burst because that's how they go. But really what you're saying here is not that PC gaming is dead or even dying, what you're saying is that your specific AAA tastes may not be catered to. And to that...yes, you're very likely right.

I have AMD and RT is weak on the 7k series yeah. 9k is pretty good though. I don't use super res personally but the latest FSR up scalers are REALLY good, ive played with it in control resonant on 1440p and there's genuinely no difference not even a blur, though i still use native for the AA

Yeah i don't discount the software, shits like magic but AMD and intel also have theirs too, not as good but still. And who knows one day the proprietary code of these Nvidia softwares gets released or cracked and released as open source and suddenly it's in everyone's benefit.

this, i was looking into what i could do about a newer GPU and i was already seeing "other company has something that matches Nvidia and its way cheaper, the stranglehold is slipping away." there has been competition that has been mostly ignored because they couldnt keep up with Nvidia until now.

Nvidia is not the only maker, and won't be the only maker. Even if the other two shit themselves the same way, there's a chance for competition coming up (china can do this). Easier to run Indie games will outlive these companies. Lastly, this trend is not eternal, because it's not sustainable.
