Experiencing weird grief-adjacent feeling: local restaurant I’ve frequented biweekly for takeout for near-decade (they know my order when they hear my voice on phone; they ask how my kids & wife are) shuttered out of seeming nowhere. Gone. Didn’t get to say thanks or bye. Will miss food. And them.

So, I was perceived and it wasn't awful. Who am I kidding, I happy cried a bit. I wrote the thing with a lot of love for U-T's work, so I'm glad he got to see how much he's valued by me and the many U-T fans of the world. I shall resume hiding under my duvet now though.
