After SCOTUS’ May 1954 unanimous “Brown v. Board of Education” decision, elementary schools in Hillsboro, OH defied the court order. #tdih 1954, “Marching Mothers” sued the school district & began a nearly two-year pressure campaign to successfully desegregate elementary schools in Hillsboro. ⬇️
