I am reading through the red book (Carl Jung) slowly, it’s probably the most challenging text I have taken on in recent years. I get to a chapter and sentence by sentence he summarizes some of the main thesis I have used in respect to story. Coming to this book now is fascinating.

What does “take it for gospel” mean? Nobody’s a straightforward Freudian anymore, haven’t been any for decades. They might be Kleinians, Self Psychologists in the tradition of Kohut…the theory can get quite technical but there’s plenty of good books by psychoanalysts for the lay audience
