Finally read it: good stuff! Also needing updated is the £ you can claim for lost earnings and how it's claimed. Plus being able to say "I can't do these days but I can do x-y next month" would be brilliant - a pal of mine in England this year was able to postpone hers for a couple of months.

I'm logging on for work soon, going to read the piece then. It's bonkers, I had two high court and a sheriff court within 8 mths; lost two weeks of work phoning every night, lost patience with the third one! The list of auto exemptions is crackers, too, all ppl who'd be great jurors!

I got called 3 times last year - I emailed the last one &said why I couldn't do it (holiday, caring for parents visits) and got a two-year reprieve from being called. I'd like to do it but being self-emp it's a nightmare of losing work. News journos used to get exemption easily for obvious reasons!
