It's always "AI/capitalism/military is so fundamental to tech you can't get away from it so I keep doing the same thing" and not "tools, networks and resources tech uses are so dependent on freely given contributions by individuals that maybe I, at the barest philosophical level, owe them something"

Maybe this is one of those "sitting under the waterfall training" vs "enjoying poetry" kind of things showing up in 2026. I think it is good to have these kinds of voices around though, but it can get irritating to see

There's something that feels off about some hardcore game voices in arcade/puzzle/roguelikes that I can't quite articulate..I think it might be the implied belief you can only see god through those game types, which contrasts with my belief that you could see god through any interesting enough game
