Today, I read a paper titled “Sortition and the Idea of Self-Determination” at a coference, which challenges Lafont’s critique of lottocracy. I plan to revise the paper and publish it in a Japanese academic journal in March 2027. In April 2027, I will prepare an AI-assisted English translation.

My article has just been published (Open Access) on the Japanese Journal of Political Science! It was initially a paper on how representative political systems might be reconciled with social equality, but after many roundabouts it's now a paper on the election/sortition debate. Hope it interests!
