I'm still white and still wield the power that comes with that, obviously. But to some degree I know in my gut some of what they're talking about, I notably have Black thinkers to thank for knowing that it's not fair and it's not me. Least I can do is do my part towards unfucking things for them

Chewing and thinking and dwelling on a whole bunch of obnoxious stuff and I keep looking back to: I'd be in solidarity with people of color regardless, because it's the right thing to do. But even out of self-interest, their work has given me more tools than anything written by white people
