One of the many things I love about El-Sayed is that he's willing to engage with someone hostile if it gets them to admit the premises behind that hostility, to the extent that it becomes impossible to avoid the underlying bigotry. You want to go there, fine, but he's gonna make you own it.

They were used to using Twitter posts as a sort of barometer of "what the public thinks". And they're still doing that, despite it being quite a different segment of the public they're getting from Xitter. Like they don't recognize.

There's a reason Elon Musk bought Twitter and killed it and then turned it into an undead abomination. It's because it was a powerful force in creating and reinforcing cultural norms and it was predominantly not driving things the way he wanted them to go.
