“Regarding MAID for patients with mental illness, he cited continuing concerns about inadequate access to mental-health services.” THEN PROVIDE ADEQUATE SERVICES! Denying people treatment and using that as a justification to deny MAID is just pointless cruelty.

First Nations children are still waiting for safe schools, clean water, adequate housing and equitable services. Meanwhile, Canada somehow finds urgency when the “national interest” is pipelines, mines and major projects. Reconciliation has to mean more than wearing orange once a year. 🧡
