And I think I get it? If the vibe of European life is as exotic to Japanese people as vice versa, then getting a taste of that without having to fly for 24hrs is a cool experience. There's even holiday homes you can rent, and a marina where cruises and sailboats dock

Having barely seen any brick buildings since I got here there were moments I felt like I was back in Amsterdam, with endless side alleys and then I'd glance the other way and see MOUNTAINS in the distance and get sudden geographic vertigo (the Netherlands is flat as a pool table)
