Here is the Canadian Armed Forces’ official explanation of what happened at CFB Wainwright, which resulted in 4 deaths and 39 soldiers in hospital: A grassfire inside the training area and spread wildly due to high winds, but no gas infrastructure involved (he later added grenades were being used)

So, a little lesson regarding the horrible Wainwright incident: * Media reports on the number of dead were *wrong* * No “explosions” * No oil & gas involvement All the speculation was totally wrong. I had a guess as to what happened & I’ve seen nothing to change it. I won’t share it here.
