RIP, Larry Hofmann, who ran the excellent Burnt Hair label out of Dearborn, MI, and was a catalyst for the Detroit area's space-rock boom in the '90s, releasing records by Windy & Carl, Füxa, Tomorrowland, Asha Vida, and Monaural, as well as singles by Flowchart and Azusa Plane.

I did think “What would I request, anyway?” and settled on “Horses,” being a big fan of his versions and Sally Timms’ original. So when he asked for suggestions for his last song, I (and another person) yelled that out, and “Horses” ended the evening.
