Herman Melville's "Moby Dick" has perhaps the most memorable opening line in all of Western literature: "I hope you motherfuckers like reading about whales"

I’m thinking about federal income tax. If the federal government isn’t meeting its obligations why should we? Specifically, I’d love to see states get the money first and hold it in trust pending litigation. I want to pay my taxes but not to a government that doesn’t respect the constitution.

Girl Scout troops get a pitiful amount of money from cookies. I’m a sucker for Thin Mints and Samoas, but please also consider just throwing a couple of $$ the way of any scouts you come across. (There are girl troops in “Boy Scouts” too, although they typically sell popcorn instead of cookies.)
