My former @upenn.edu PhD student who defended her thesis a couple of years ago, Eileen Goodwin, was on @jeopardyofficial.bsky.social last night and won! She ironically missed a question about antigens, but we will cut her some slack because she was amazing! Congrats Eileen!

Thank you! The original citation (or one of them) does say that the enhancement works best with neutralizing clones, and can be overcome by increasing the ratio of antibody. But some verification re this being correct would be nice before beginning!

Not sure how many immunologists are even on here, but: I want to use an anti-IL-4 antibody to neutralize IL-4 (the 11B11 clone is most commonly used). Says it can neutralize in vivo, or be used to make IL-4 complex to enhance IL-4 activity. Is this possible, i.e. can the same clone do both things?
