Boo! Yesterday was last day of non-travel/recovery vacation. Saw 4 shows (end with a bang)! Edinburgh was wonderful. The Fringe is a blast (it is also overwhelming and chaotic, but I love it). I plan to visit Scotland again to see more of the country and to see Edinburgh not in August.

Upon further reflection, I think it's the scolding tone more than the actual content that I objected to in my initial reading. Not that it isn't justified, more that it tends not to be the best way to get the message across.

Good question, I went back and reread it and couldn't actually find anything that I really disagreed with, just a couple of inconsequential nitpicks and perhaps a few things I'd phrase slightly differently. We'll have to find something else to argue about :)

I don't often read substack posts, let alone share them, but since the issues addressed have only gotten worse since it was written, I am making an exception. Note: I don't 100% agree with everything here, but it's pretty close to my thinking on the subject.
