I cannot stress enough how helpful it is when you like a thing that someone created (like, say, a book they wrote) & you TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT. Word of mouth can be an incredible tool, yes, even if you don't think you're a fancy influencer with an incredible following. Your recommendations go places!

I do not like books written by academics presumably for mass audiences that do not cite their own colleagues' work that address what they are critiquing, do not have any respect for work down outside academia by organizers and claim to be "transgressive."
