@quantumrw.bsky.socialSharing papers during this AI boom can feel like throwing a drop in the ocean. But this one took so much hard work before AI agents were even a thing—and plenty of grinding afterwards to make it crystal clear for the referees. Really glad to finally have it out there!
Show PostExcited to share that our paper was finally accepted by PRX and made online today. Here js a visual rendition of we use an oscillator’s momentum to refocus the qubit state when using it to learn the oscillator’s mean position value. doi.org/10.1103/7jwl...
Show PostI’d like to thank my colleagues for this very enjoyable and productive collaboration! @michaloszmaniec.bsky.social @inlnano.bsky.social (5/n, n=5).
Show PostThe two protocols are asymptotically efficient in sample complexity. We also discuss how our protocols bear on some of the previous proposals for characterizing multiphoton indistinguishability, based e.g. on the notion of genuine multiphoton indistinguishability. (4/n)
Show Post2- a randomized protocol that directly estimates the fidelity wrt the completely indistinguishable scenario. Along the way, we also describe exactly the set of Bargmann invariants of internal photonic degrees of freedom that need be estimated for a complete characterization. (3/n)
