The fact that Vance has three biracial kids whose grandparents are immigrants makes his libel more vulgar and repugnant, not less. Eight years ago, he condemned this sort of bigotry. He knows how dangerous it is. He’s just decided that his ambition is more important.

What I like about this story is the neighbor who made racist assumptions about another neighbor, having been led into it by racist propaganda from the GOP, realized she was wrong and sought help to apologize. Baby steps. Not ones Trump or Vance or their core crew are capable of.
Show PostI’m not sure I’ve heard a satisfactory definition of “echo chamber” or “silo.” On balance the people on Twitter who directed abuse at me tended to be from the right and here they’re more likely to be from the left, but the solution is the same — block them if they don’t amuse or inform me. /1
