@eswaralab.bsky.socialGpsB is the hardest working protein in Firmicutes (it's a hub that modulates ~10 different cell division & cell wall synthesis proteins), but how can one protein manage all this? Apparently, the answer is phosphorylation. Great new paper by @lilymcknight.bsky.social and @eswaralab.bsky.social
Show PostThank you so much for letting me share the GpsB story with you all! And there's nothing more motivating than a slice of cake right after 😉
Show PostExciting to have @lilymcknight.bsky.social from @eswaralab.bsky.social here today visiting the @gwliechti-lab.bsky.social and sharing her great work on on a busybody of a protein in S. aureus!
Show PostCool story and a great thread!! The GpsB story just keeps getting cooler!
Show Post1/10 I am thrilled to announce my first first-author preprint, now live on bioRxiv! This focuses on my favorite little protein, GpsB, and its ties to fosfomycin resistance through phosphoregulation in S. aureus (a 🧵) www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
