So I call it going nonverbal. Because that's what I've seen it called before, and it's a really quick and easy way to explain what happened (or is happening if I can text) but a few times lately I've seen people say calling it that is a disservice to people that are fully nonverbal.

Which is why I made the post. To guage if calling it "going nonverbal" is, like, an okay thing to do. Or if the outrage is just a small corner of the internet that needs to feel like they have control of something.

Because I saw some people talking about it, I have to ask. If, for one reason or another, you suddenly find yourself unable to talk, what do you call that?

This absolutely rages me the disability community is struggling out here to make ends meet, trying to find some normalcy in life; but once again -- people are upset at this notion. We deserve to be at the table that is called LIFE like everyone else.
