HIV can increase the risk of cognitive decline but - good news - a new study finds that if we are undetectable on treatment, decline is the same as for those without HIV. Once again though, data emphasises the importance of testing early and accessing treatment. #HIVTestingWeek

This week is #HIVTestingWeek. I tested positive for HIV in 1998, when I was 30. Now I take one pill a day and that keeps my HIV suppressed. It also means there is NO RISK of passing on HIV during sex. If I hadn’t tested I would not be alive today. Testing saves lives.
