Of course I'm no fan of law societies existing. The practice of law should be deregulated. But where they do exist, professional regulators must not become ideological enforcers.

And anyway, it originally meant your own stuff, not society. You were supposed to innovate tech fast, test it break it, and iteratively improve it until it was good, then turn that into the product. Now it's an excuse for large scale vandalism
