Had a thought provoking question to start #calculus class last week. Students are practicing area between curves but when I asked them to optimize the distance between curves they had to really stop and think about the problem solving strategy. Inspired by ssddproblems.com. #ITeachMath #MathsToday

We achieved a new level of Maker Space as we launched into "Mather- Space" Stop motion animation skills with a mathy purpose. Level achieved! Automatic connections for note taking to describe math problem & strategy. Movie day to showcase facts & have classmates identify the equations.
