France had a school shooting on Oct. 12, also with a shotgun. The Philippines had school shootings in both June and September. Thailand had a school shooting in August. Germany suffered an attack on a youth center, where the shooter bought an illegal handgun off the black market.

Worth mentioning that most pump action shotguns are generally legal everywhere. In other words, no gun control was going to stop this guy, but a dude with a heater did.

among other things, this shooting really has me thinking back to Uvalde. a whole army of cops had each other's backs and were too scared to go after the shooter. versus one dad who heard shots and decided to act

It's not just uvalde, parkland had a cop who chose to hide instead of going after the shooter. The only person who can protect you is you.
