I just don’t see how the NZ Greens and Labour could be in coalition with each other, following the next election, with Hipkins at the helm. I really don’t.

I think giving labour any bigger margin will risk them selling out to NZFirst and TOP at the expense of the greens. Hipkins has absolutely NO interest in the environment, let alone real change. There’s also a real possibility TOP will fail to get 5% on the day. So best if the GP have max leverage.

You can't split a progressive vote when one party in the coalition is not progressive. England is very lucky to have a Green Party willing to acknowledge this and reject working with an anti working class people Labour Party. I wish NZ had the same.

Labour sends emails under the name of "Team Hipkins" when polls show that party support is near twice that of his preferred PM result. Why? It is as if they want obedience more than votes. Like they are aiming to be a minor party built around a loyal but niche leader worship akin to NZ First #nzpol
