@distillednuance.bsky.socialBefore this post gets too sad, just know that our family is doing okay. We've seen the end coming and her doctor had her on extra medication just in case she didn't make it through the week/weekend It's sad but she passed quietly while napping after a big meal.....I hope I'm that lucky
Show PostNot the kind of #Caturday post I want to make, but our Squid passed away overnight from diabetes complications It was a long road back to health from when we rescued her; multiple surgeries and medication She had a good second life for the last 2.5 years and we will miss her ❤️
Show PostFinally finished a complete rehash of my old OG pixelation tool Ditherdragon! Integrated many SOTA pixelation techniques, with proper detail retention, strong bg-removal and lots more; super happy with how it turned out :) winterveil.itch.io/ditherdragon #pixelart #gamedev #indiedev #godotengine
Show PostYeah it depends on your pipeline. Some styles (especially "artistic") can do great! Krita hasn't been credible for physically based lighting, shadow removal, multi channel material formats and the like though.
Show PostBlender and Godot are good, but also, they don't touch any Adobe stronghold. Autodesk and Unity should be more worried. Krita and GIMP are no Photoshop. Many game art pipelines need features or workflows that those tools don't have. Also, no credible alternative to Acrobat exists.
