It happened again today due to a person who left her car double parked and unattended, so I put some cones out. That stopped drivers from using the sidewalk. (The cone on the right is a leftover stage decoration from our book release live show.)

They are a big mistake. The lanes should be separated by cement and steel so no cyclists get hurt.

I was reminded of why we took my dad’s keys away when I was driving us somewhere last week and he kept telling me to get over in the right lane to turn and I finally snapped, “that’s the bike lane and I don’t drive in the bike lane.” There wasn’t anyone in it, but you don’t drive in the bike lane.
