Their surface to surface capability was always very limited. The carriers, well, let's not go there. Alan West should be kept off the telly/radio, not just because of his comments the other day, but also because two decades or more ago he was arguing that CVF was to operate in US strike groups.
Show PostBecause the US, the world's foremost imperial power, really needed its vassal state to throw some underequipped highly-likely-to-break carriers into its strike groups. As I say, I don't hold a torch for the military, but cutting welfare in favour of such another bonfire of public money is obscene.

Show PostI need to get out of the UK. Apart from the normalisation of transphobia and the hatred of all minorities from disabled folks to refugees, the 'this weather's great, stop banging on about climate change' as thousands of folks die is too reminiscent of the COVID eugenics for me.
