Given that this is basically a badly-written whinge about the entry fee and the quality of their friends’ recommendations, I fear that ‘Journalist’ may be pushing it. Also: it’s Portmerion. If you disparage it, do so in context: it’s unique in the World, visionary, culturally important and lovely.
