Makes good sense; a couple of folks think they found this particular helicopter, which is registered to DHS and has been seen working the Maine border.

^ This *is* a different helicopter than the USCG MH–65

The ship isn't showing up on ADS–B Exchange, not even via MLAT, which says that its transponder is off. This isn't a different helicopter than the Coast Guard MH–65 that just went by — I saw them both at the same time — USCG has transponder on but ADS–B Out disabled.

The helicopter currently circling Mt. Pleasant/Columbia Heights is not one of the DC regulars. White top, red tail and underside, skids, sensor turret forward, single engine, small ship.

Thanks! I'm not seeing your images, but I think that yes, I likely saw a DHS helicopter this morning. Paint is not the same as the red-and-white DHS helicopter that I saw a few days ago and again this afternoon, both of those times with no transponder. bsky.app/profile/imag...
