I strongly identified with they ostracism they faced for being "monsters," but now I understand it as an allegory for queerness. (And I understand myself to be queer af.) Is Louis refusal to kill some kind of parallel for thinking that if he avoids gay sex he avoids sin?
Show PostThe strongest theme was fighting back against one's abuser. Louis continually fails to stand up for himself until it's too late leaving the poor kid who had a much clearer head on her shoulders in danger. I love Louis for being sensitive, but I hate him for being so codependent.
