all the talk about backdoors is bullshit besides, the code has been audited many times by third parties. it's probably some of the most scrutinized code in the world, given how much money hinges on it it's a complete nothingburger. but people love their drama so much

for what it's worth MIT DCI's funders never had anything to say over bitcoin's course of development. all grants were no-strings-attached to preserve dev neutrality. it is also only one of the organizations for funding development, one which had many funders
