I'm not that big on CS Lewis, but I remember back when I was deep in my Christian phase I read a passage from the Screwtape Letters along the lines of "corrupt them by making them project virtue towards those they do not know, but contempt towards those they do" that always stuck with me.

can i include creepypastas? fuck it. The Gmod Stream was so fun i love shit like this. i called it "serverblight but queer" but thats kind of reductive and as much as i love serverblight the comparison feels disrespectful. it resonated with me as someone who has been in long distance relationships.
