The absolute best way to build national unity & keep a nation safe is not to invest in military or cut spending. Its to ensure everyone has a safe, affordable place to live, access to full publicly funded health care, access to affordable education, eliminate food scarcity.

I agree. I think provinces have far too much autonomy on this meaning health care is quite different from province to province.

The weak point in the welfare state is the provincial governments. They are responsible for a solid welfare state. Healthcare education and social supports. Nothing has changed since the 1960’s although there have been leaps and bounds in technology,etc. Time to put them in the spotlight.
