Produce is the issue. Europe benefits from having smaller countries & stricter food regulations. America has a challenge in having to feed a large population, so mass production, which needs fast turnover. Then the issue is transportation over long distances. Preservatives are inevitable. 🤷🏻‍♀️

As an American, I had incredible food in Scotland, Spain, Italy and France but while I absolutely adored Switzerland, the food there was good *quality* but not particularly good (and super expensive). The best thing about getting to Milan was the food got 4x better at like 1/4 the price.
