I am grimly fascinated by how the British far right vow they won't fight for Britain, draped in Union Jacks while they parrot Kremlin talking points (please no one reply to this explaining it to me, I report on Ukraine, politics, and the rise of the far right, for a living)

If Britain faced what Ukraine is facing right now, I 100% believe most people will fight and - considering the threat in such a case would be fascist - it would be obvious who isn’t fighting. But ofc when it is hypothetical people say no, because no one can imagine not living in relative peace.

Not sure if Andy Burnham was single-handedly keeping the trams functioning here but I’ve had nothing but problems with them since he stopped being mayor, I think there needs to be a conversation
