Deep sea mining is not necessary. We have all the metals we need on land surfaces. The only reason people want to do this is that it might be cheaper to indiscriminately scrape the sea floor rather than responsibly mine and later restore terrestrial landscapes.

🔍 What are these tiny discs covering oak leaves at Bevans' Wood? They're oak spangle galls, created by tiny gall wasps. The developing larva persuades the oak to grow a protective home around it, complete with food and shelter. Strange, beautiful, and a normal part of woodland life.
