I'm a bit spoiled by Apple's Preview app that has supported signatures and other annotations for years. But tools like Xournal++ should do the trick in Linux. As for the Adobe clones, their roadmap suggests generative AI stuff will eventually be implemented, presumably via local models like qwen.
