I bet! Also in ireland though when we bought I signed for 50% of the mortgage and the house was in the Mrs’ name and we weren’t married at the time. Her solicitor said are you sure you want to sign? Don’t you want your own solicitor? I said - no it’s grand! He thought I was mad!
