I was pretty fond of Max Caster by the end of his AEW run but if edgelord jokes are the part of his act he’s most passionate about then I’m glad he’s taken it on the road

Far from fumbling him, AEW helped him punch above his weight until the well ran dry. Folks forget they broke up the Acclaimed because Caster was getting go-away heat and his jobber run was a saving throw, which also worked for a time.

I'd argue AEW got way more out of Caster than just about everybody else on Earth ever would have, between giving him the space to do his shit (with all the pros and cons associated with that) and having the insight to pair him with a far superior worker to give him in-ring cred.
