We went there in our 20s and got engaged. My boyfriend (now husband) had lots of little hints that he shared with me on the way to help me guess where we were going. The last was a giant inflatable ’The Prisoner’ white ball wedged into the boot of the car 😂

Well it has reminded me that I’ve still never been to Portmeirion despite been *obsessed* with the Prisoner as a teenager. If you’d told 15 year old me I’d live in the UK for two decades and not visit I’d have been massively unimpressed (I guess a bit like the Wales Online journalist)
