Ewert is Métis and won a Supreme Court case in 2018 about racist risk assessments that failed to take into account his Indigenous status. Messed up situation but the students quoted are being unreasonable. I understand that people are worried about their safety but to expect a university to disclose someone's criminal background to other students is completely insane. Do we believe in rehabilitation or not? And these are law students!
