This one time I was hired by the Royal Ontario Museum to dress up in a full dinosaur costume and encourage children to visit their touring exhibit. When a smug kid said, "You're not a REAL dinosaur, I can see your eyes" I hissed, "That's the child I ate for breakfast!" I was not offered more shifts.

I know people find this hard to believe because my literal job is as a public speaker, but I grew up painfully shy in a family of extroverts. This stuff didn't necessarily come naturally to me, but I'm so glad I pushed myself. And also, I still mask everywhere. A mask doesn't stop me from chatting
