Yes but Zoroastrianism and the parsi people don't figure into that story at all. Freddie Mercury was a parsi person which means that his immediate ancestors came from India. India accepted people who were essentially refugees from Persia when Islam took over there.

"Muslims" are the people who follow Islam. And you can't convert to Zoroastrianism from Islam in Iran, as that would be ground for death penalty. So, no, Zoroastians are not Muslims. They survived 1400 years of slaughters, slavery, oppression and discrimination just because they did not convert.
