Thinking about it, you are right; unlike HTTP requests where you want to get P99 < 300ms, sidekiq jobs generally are more about throughput and fairness than responsiveness. Green threads may be a great match.

For Sidekiq without GVL, using TruffleRuby seems the straightforward answer, as it is far more compatible than Spinel, and supports native extensions so should be a drop-in replacement for CRuby.
